The period between this entry and the last was certainly more fruitful than previous entries - I read quite a considerable amount. Part of this was because I've been on year-end holidays, but also because I no longer have PAX, etc to work through. Since it's also the start of a new year I might do a summary of the last year's reading (though I started this project around the 15th of January I've decided to round that off to the start of each year) with some stats, etc.

Regardless, here's the list for this entry:

It's been an excessively long time since the last entry, and I haven't read much during this time period either. A lot of this is due to crunching for the QoS2 release, followed by PAX Aus 2015, and then finally due to the burnout period afterward. I'll write a bit about that some other time, but for now there's a few things I have read, so let's push on:

Errr, it's been quite some time since the last entry (a month and a half). My reading has slowed down a bit, but I think that's an ok thing - my previous level of consumption was ridiculously high. I managed to get through the third Doom novel, which was as... odd as I recalled (this is the entry in which the series suddenly goes 'FUCK YOU WE'RE A SPACE OPERA NOW'), and I read some really great short stories (and a really, really bad one too). I began reading the Sword & Planet genre series Dray Prescot, which was surprisingly interesting.

It's been a little while since the last entry, and I've managed to get a fair amount of different titles pushed through. After the overbearing-ness of the MtG artifacts cycle, I figured I needed something far lighter to run with, so I dipped into the MythAdventures series by Robert Asprin. This proved to be a pretty good choice - they're better than I remember them (and, frankly, they read a bit better than the Discworld books - hilariously, I recall a secondhand book dealer trying to get me into them many, many moons ago.

Apparently I've been doing quite well in the reading department since the previous entry, because the list is quite reasonable. As predicted, Dredd vs Death was very, very good - and I've followed it up with some rather good reads.

Given that I've been a bit too sick to do much else (apart from going to work, because... money), I've been reading quite a considerable amount the last week or so. I had a bit of a hold up last weekend due to Oz Comic-con, but otherwise I've been doing quite a fair amount. Since the last post, I've smashed out:

To give a bit of background - I used to read considerable amounts. When I was a student, I read between classes and on public transport - life during that point in time seemed to have a lot of 'wasted' time waiting for trains, buses or trams (and classes too) - so I read and listened to music. Smart Phones weren't around at the time, and laptops had shitty batteries, so books were basically what I had.
